A Heated Snowboard Competition in Bansko

Bansko hosted the National Snowboarding Competition in the parallel giant slalom discipline. 83 competitors from 11 sports clubs participated.

The Bulgarian Championships title was won by Radoslav Yankov, the winner of the Parallel Giant Slalom World Cup for the 2015/2016 season.

This is Yankov's 4th title. He is a competitor for Amer Sports club and has titles in both the giant slalom and parallel slalom.

In the women's competition, 1st place went to fellow teammate Teodora Pencheva. Lia Mancheva, competitor for Blade, ranked 1st among the young women's competition.

Yesterday, the national championship in the parallel slalom discipline for all age groups was held on the Bansko slopes.
