Bansko will open the season on 11th December 2010

The opening of the season on 11th December in Bansko will attract eight legends from the world of skiing. They will stand at the start of the parallel slalom, which will be held on the track "Alberto Tomba" at 12.30 hours.

The track will glow with stars such as, Marc Girardelli, Peter Popangelov, Luc Alphand, Andreas Wenzel, Maria Wallizer, Leonhard Stock, Joseph Straub and Michael von Grünigen.

There will be a charity auction in the apreski bar, Happy End and all proceeds will be collected to support the appeal for the children's winter sports programme.

A degree of the holiday spirit will be lifted when Thomas, Maggie and Nora of Music Idol will open the concert. The central square in Bansko will be the place where the awards are officially presented for the - winter capital of the Balkans.
