Dirty Purchase 's Midnight Gig Spoiled

Two thousand fans were clapping hands and singing together with Freddy Cole in the town of Bansko. The piano and elegant swing jazz virtuoso provoked subtle feelings in the connoisseurs' hearts. Nat King Cole's brother arrived in the town of Bansko situated in the foothills of Pirin Mountain to take part in the 11-th International Jazz Festival.

"He didn't know much about Bulgaria, but came for the fans sake", commented d-r Emil Iliev - The Doctor, organizer of the event.

Denis Shulgin and his quartet staged a perfect gig and as were playing before Freddy Cole later could enjoy his performance. The Russian musicians gained the listeners with perfect improvisations. They played jazz-rock, Gershwin and Glenn Miller. Denis Shulgin quartet are one of Filip Uirkorov's favourite partners when performing and most probably he was the one to persuade them to come to Bulgaria. Tony Blair, Madame Chirac, Karl Lagerfeld and Naomi Campbell are just a few to mention as Denis Shulgin's quartet fans.

The Japanese musicians who also for the first time take part in Bansko Jazz Festival remained standing by the stage while Cole was playing and were dancing in the rhythm of his music. Unfortunately the evening didn't end as jazz lovers expected - due to some organization misunderstandings "Dirty Purchase" didn't play and sing as was provided.
