Bansko hosts the 7th round of the European Cup in Biathlon

In just a month from now / 12 to 14 February / Bansko will host the 7th round of the European Cup in biathlon, which already has the name IBU CUP - International Biathlon Union Cup.

The program provides informal training on the 11th of February, the official opening takes place on the 12th of February. Different from the current formula of these competitions is that in the IBU CUP participate only male or female teams. In the recent years, the Bulgarian Federation of Biathlon gained significant experience in organizing major world competitions.

In 2007 Bansko hosted a round of the European Cup and European Championship in biathlon. Last year, the best of the Old Continent met again in Bansko for the last round of the championship. In August the European championship in summer biathlon was held in Bansko as well.
