Fraudsters steal large amount of ski equipment in Bansko
Presented as Moldovan tourists, fraudsters stole a large amount of ski equipment from 2 ski rental shops in Bansko.
The owners of the shops submitted complains in the police department yesterday. On Saturday, a group of 4-5 people, claiming to be a part of a large Moldovan group, rented the first ski wardrobe and 18 pairs of shoes. Later they took 7 other pairs of ski and boots from the second rental shop.
At the end of the day, however, the skiers didn't appear to return the equipment. It turned out that they left a fake identity card.
The registered persons were found nowhere in the hotels in Bansko. Police continues to check the video cameras from the different hotel complexes in the resort.
The caused damage is 25 000 to 30 000 leva. Investigation on case continues.
