Mountain Film Festival in Bansko starts on 23 November
From 23 to 27 November, Bansko will host the XI International Mountain Film Festival. This festival is considered the most important cinema forums of its kind in Southeastern Europe.
During the festival 100 films from 30 countries will be screened. Topics to be presented at the festival are mountaineering and extreme sports, lifestyle and culture of the Mountain people, preservation of mountain scenery, adventure and travel.
Every year this festival attracts hundreds of art Mountain lovers and is an exceptional event in the cultural calendar of Bansko.
The films will be judged by a jury composed of: Professor Dr. Boyan Biolchev, chairman, Daniela Chekin - Director of International Mountain Film Festival in Trento, Machiey Voyak from Poland, Radoslav Spassov - director and cameraman, Ivan Obreikov - operator Ivan Popyordanov - Director of Satirical Theater "Aleko Konstantinov "ancestral mountaineer, Vladimir Karamazov - Actor from the National Theatre" Ivan Vazov "and traveler.
For the first time there will be a guest from Japan. This is Tamotsu Nakamura. It is expected that there will be interest in the first organized during the festival Mountain Academy. Held will be activities in weather forecasting in Pirin, by monitoring local signs and orientation in the mountain.
