Greek Tourists Spend 4 Mio. Euro in Bulgaria
Greeks will spend around four million euro in Bulgaria during the Easter Holidays. Our neighbors have already booked out most of the hotels in the Bulgarian towns of Sandanski, Petrich, Melnik and Bansko.
We expect that at least three or four thousand Greek tourists will visit Bulgaria during the holidays, say shopkeepers. According to them, tourists will spend at least 1000 euro each during their stay. Foreigners pay around 300 - 400 euro for a three - day stay in Bulgarian resort complexes.
"We have no vacant rooms, " says Nikolai Tomov, manger of the Interhotel Sandanski.
Tourists from the Scandinavian countries are also expected to visit Bulgaria.
"Everything is booked out till April 15, " says Ilia Paskov, owner of the St. Nikola complex.
Romanians also frequent Bulgaria's northern Black Sea coast during the holidays. At least 2500 tourists will stay at the seaside resort of Albena. Another 1000 will spend their vacation at Golden Sands.
