Bansko Battling for the Prize of Best Ski Resort in the World

Bansko is competing in the World Ski Awards for the best ski resort in Bulgaria for 2014.

In 2013, the World Ski Awards Academy distinguished Bansko with the prize for the best winter ski resort in Bulgaria. This occurred during the ceremony in Kitzbühel, Austria. Over 200 managers of leading ski resorts and hotels were present at the lavish ceremony.

In the survey held by the Academy, they gave voice to over 1 million people from around the world. It was in fact Bansko that helped Bulgaria achieve recognition around the world, making the top 20 list of countries around the world with the best winter resorts.

With time, Bansko is becoming an ever more recognized resort in Eastern Europe.
