Bansko and Zagreb Host Top Events in FIS Calendar 2009

The FIS World Cup starts in Bansko and Zagreb were No.1 for the 2008/2009 season in terms of organization. This information was released by Jan Tischhauser, responsible for the organization of FIS starts and events. According to him, the Bulgarian ski resort and the capital of Croatia were impeccable in the organization of the events.

This spring Bansko hosted two Alpine ski races and one Super-G start for women. The Italian journalists in Soelden shared the opinion that Bansko should submit a bid for the organization of FIS World Cup starts for men and women.

In the 2010/2011 season, Bansko will host men’s FIS World Cup event for the first time.
