Skiing Conditions Perfect in Bulgaria

Skiing conditions in Bulgaria's winter resorts are great day before New Year, the Mountain Rescue Service reports.

There is a meter of snow on the slopes of Vitosha mountain near the capital Sofia, while in the resorts of Bansko and Borovets the snow cover reaches 2 meters.

Temperatures at 2, 000 meters above sea level range between - 3 to - 6 C and the weather will remain calm and sunny, providing perfect conditions for those who want to end 2007 with a swoosh or to down the slopes.

All ski runs are open but rescuers advice tourists and freeriders to be on alert as there is high avalanche risk off - track.
