The Ski Season in Bansko Starts This Weekend

The concessionaire of the ski zone in the resort has announced that the season in Bansko starts this weekend. The ski lifts will start operating as early as December 3, the slopes are prepped and ready for the first skiers.

And some good news for all lovers of winter sports: daily ski lift passes will be available at a promotional price of 30 lv. for adults from December 3 - 19.

The official beginning of the ski season in Bansko is scheduled for December 17. Traditionally, a highly renowned winter sports star always makes a guest appearance at the start of the season in the resort.

The special guest this year will be a gold medalist from the 2002 Winter Olympics at Salt Lake City - Fritz Strobl. Marc Girardelli, 5-time champion and holder of the World Cup in alpine skiing, will also be making a guest appearance in Bansko.
